MedsAlert Off Grid & Offline - Privacy Policy

Introduction

MedsAlert Off Grid & Offline ("the App", "we", "us") is a paid, one-time-purchase Android application operated by Solo Dev Studio LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App and its supporting services process, how it is stored, how long it is retained, and how you can delete it at any time.

The App is designed to function fully offline after a one-time first-launch sign-in. Aside from that sign-in, your medication data and reminder schedules stay on your device.

Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use the App:

• Account information (collected once at first launch via Sign in with Google): your verified email address, your display name, your Google account ID, and your profile picture URL. This is the minimum scope required to create your account and is provided by Google through the standard Sign in with Google flow.
• Marketing preference: whether you chose to receive product updates and offers by email. At first launch, the sign-in screen shows a pre-checked "Send me product updates and tips by email" checkbox. You can uncheck it before tapping Sign in with Google to opt out, or change your preference at any time from the app's Settings → Account.
• Medication data, reminder schedules, and preferences: stored locally on your device only. This data is never transmitted to us or to any third party.

We do not collect device identifiers for advertising, analytics SDK telemetry, location data, contacts, or any health data beyond what you choose to enter into the App on your device.

How We Use Your Information

• To operate your account: we use your email and Google account ID to authenticate you, restore access if you reinstall the App, and identify your account if you request deletion.
• To send marketing emails (only if you opt in): product updates, new feature announcements, and occasional offers. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every marketing email or by emailing us. We honor unsubscribe requests within 10 business days, as required by U.S. CAN-SPAM law.
• To respond to support requests: if you email us, we use your email to reply.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with advertisers. We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.

Advertising

The App contains no advertising of any kind. No ad SDKs are integrated, no advertising identifiers are read, and no ad-related data is collected or transmitted. This is a deliberate, permanent design choice.

Payments

MedsAlert Off Grid & Offline is a paid, one-time-purchase app. The purchase is processed by Google Play. The App itself does not see, store, or transmit any payment information — your card number, billing address, and tax details are handled entirely by Google Play and never reach the App or its developer. The App does not contain in-app purchases or subscriptions. Once you have purchased the App, every feature is yours forever — there is nothing else to buy inside it.

Service Providers and Sharing

We use the following service providers ("processors") to operate the App. They are bound by contract to process your data only on our instructions:

• Google (Firebase Authentication): stores your email, name, Google account ID, and authentication tokens to keep you signed in. Hosted in Google's data centers. See Google's Firebase Privacy and Security page.
• Email service provider (to be selected): if you opt in to marketing, your email and name will be transferred to a third-party email service provider to send and manage those communications. We will update this policy with the provider's name before any marketing email is sent.

Beyond these processors, we do not share your personal information with third parties. We do not sell your personal information.

Data Storage and Security

Account data (email, name, Google account ID, marketing preference) is stored by Google Firebase Authentication on Google's infrastructure, encrypted in transit and at rest. All other data — medications, reminders, preferences — is stored only on your device using Android's standard application storage.

Data Retention

• Account data (email, name, ID, marketing preference): retained until you delete your account, or after 3 years of continuous inactivity, whichever comes first.
• Medication data and reminder schedules: retained on your device until you delete it in the App, clear App data from Android Settings, or uninstall the App. There is no maximum retention period imposed by us.
• Marketing email subscriber records (if you opt in): retained until you unsubscribe or delete your account.

Data Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time using either method below.

From inside the App:

1. Open MedsAlert Off Grid & Offline and go to Settings.
2. Tap Delete account and confirm.
3. Your account record (email, name, ID, marketing preference) is deleted from our systems immediately, and all on-device medication and reminder data is cleared from your device.

Without the App installed (web request):

1. Visit legal.solodevstudio.com/medsalert-off-grid/delete-account.html.
2. Submit the email address you used to sign in.
3. We will confirm receipt and complete deletion within 30 days, in line with Google Play's account-deletion policy.

To export your medication data before deletion: open the App, go to Settings, and use the built-in export feature to save a backup file. This step is optional.

Marketing Communications

If you opted in, we may send you marketing emails about product updates, new features, and special offers. Every marketing email contains:

• Our identity as the sender (Solo Dev Studio LLC).
• Our physical postal address: [postal address to be inserted before public launch].
• A working unsubscribe link.

You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the link in any marketing email or by emailing justin@solodevstudio.com. We honor unsubscribe requests within 10 business days as required by U.S. CAN-SPAM law.

Country Availability

MedsAlert Off Grid & Offline is available worldwide on Google Play except in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom. We do not currently distribute the App in those jurisdictions. The App is offered in English only; users in non-English-primary markets are welcome but should be comfortable reading English. We may add EEA/UK availability and localized translations in future versions.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has signed in, contact us at justin@solodevstudio.com and we will delete the account.

Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access: request a copy of the account data we hold about you.
• Correction: request correction of inaccurate account data.
• Erasure: delete your account at any time using the steps above.
• Data portability: export your medication data using the App's built-in export feature.
• Withdraw marketing consent: unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time without affecting your account.
• Object or restrict processing: contact us to object to or restrict specific processing.

For users in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom: our legal bases for processing are (a) performance of a contract for account creation and authentication, (b) your consent for marketing emails, and (c) our legitimate interests in responding to your support requests. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

For California residents: we do not "sell" your personal information as the term is defined under the CCPA/CPRA. To exercise your rights to know, delete, correct, or limit the use of sensitive personal information, contact justin@solodevstudio.com. We do not knowingly share personal information of consumers under 16 for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the effective date at the top. For material changes, we will additionally notify signed-in users by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect.
